Darwin are currently looking for an experienced Switchgear Commissioning Engineer for a major data centre project in Finland (both mission critical & data centre experience is considered).

Contract Duration: 6/12 Months initially
Extension: Potential for a long-term engagement exceeding 3 years

Project Focus:
- Execute primary/secondary current injection, Megger, Ductor, Hi-Pot, and VT/CT testing on LV/MV switchgear, transformers, and circuit breakers.
- Perform functional ATS logic, loss-of-mains, generator paralleling, and black-start sequences to guarantee 100% uptime and Tier III/IV redundancy.
- Verify interface signals across switchgear, BMS, EPMS, and SCADA networks.
- Lead safe isolation, LOTO, and high-voltage (HV) energization procedures under Dornan site safety standards.
- Prepare RAMS, CMS, and complete Level 1-5 commissioning handover packs, managing snag list closeouts alongside client agents and vendors.
Key Skills and Experience Required:
- Proven experience in switchgear commissioning is essential
- Candidates must hold EU residency to be eligible for this opportunity.
- Experience with UPS systems and critical power infrastructure (desired)
- Previous involvement in data centre projects (desired)
