Electronics IC RF Engineer – High-Speed Optical Interconnects

An innovative semiconductor company developing next-generation silicon photonics and high-speed optical interconnect solutions is looking for an experienced Electronics IC RF Engineer to join its growing international engineering team.

This role focuses on the development of advanced electro-optical transceiver chips for future data-center and high-speed communication applications. The successful candidate will work on monolithically integrated RF and analog circuits operating at ultra-high data rates of 200G/400G and beyond, closely collaborating with photonics and system engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Design high-speed RF/analog integrated circuits for optical communication systems
• Develop driver circuits for photonic modulators and TIAs for optical receivers
• Simulate analog/RF ICs in advanced RF-BiCMOS technologies
• Generate electromagnetic models for passive structures and signal paths
• Support electro-optic co-design and system-level simulations
• Contribute to design methodologies and verification flows
• Collaborate cross-functionally with photonics, system, and verification teams

Requirements

• MSc in Electrical Engineering or related field
• 5+ years of industry experience in RFIC / high-speed analog IC design
• Strong experience with Cadence design environment and RF simulation flows
• Experience with high-speed RF signal path design, drivers, TIAs, or optical interconnects
• Familiarity with BiCMOS technologies is highly beneficial
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to thrive in a collaborative international environment
