Our client is a top-tier strategic consulting firm that helps leading banks and financial institutions modernize their core banking systems. They are looking for an expert IT Architect or consultant to advise and guide their clients through complex digital transformations, from legacy platforms to cutting-edge, cloud-native solutions. The biggest challenge? Every client is at a different stage in their journey-your role is to design tailored strategies that align with their unique business and technical needs.
I’m looking for someone who:
- Has at least 5 years of working experience, preferably in strategic consulting, rather than being solely implementation-oriented.
- Has hands-on experience with core banking platforms such as Temenos T24, Finacle, Mambu, Oracle FLEXCUBE, FIS Profile, Avaloq, ThoughtMachine, or 10x.
- Understands end-to-end banking processes, including payments (SWIFT, SEPA, RTGS), lending, deposits, and customer onboarding.
- Has expertise in modernizing legacy banking systems and knowledge of Open Banking standards and APIs.
- Can design and implement microservices architectures and has a strong grasp of SOA and APIs (REST, SOAP).
- Has experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud-native services (Kubernetes, Docker, serverless computing).
- Is proficient in Java, C#, Python, and scripting languages such as Shell, Python, or Perl.
- Understands event-driven and distributed systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
- Has strong knowledge of relational (Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Cassandra) databases.
- Is familiar with banking regulatory frameworks (PSD2, GDPR, PCI-DSS) and security best practices, including IAM and data encryption.
