Position Summary
The Director of Professional Services is responsible for leading and scaling the Professional Services delivery function while remaining actively engaged in hands-on project management and client delivery. This role serves as a critical bridge between strategic leadership and day-to-day execution, ensuring high-quality delivery, consultant accountability, and strong operational discipline.
This position directly manages timekeeping consultants and delivery resources, oversees project execution, and leads internal operational and administrative initiatives that support continued growth and integration.
Essential Functions
Client Delivery & Project Management
- Act as Project Manager or Program Lead for complex, enterprise, or high-visibility client engagements.
- Own end-to-end project delivery including scope, timelines, budgets, risks, and deliverables.
- Serve as a senior point of contact for clients during active engagements.
- Act as a point of escalation for project risks, delivery challenges, or client concerns.
- Partner with Sales and Leadership during pre-sales discovery, solution alignment, and post-sales handoff.
- Ensure all projects adhere to PredictiveHR delivery standards, quality expectations, and contractual commitments.
Professional Services & Consultant Management
- Directly manage timekeeping consultants and professional services team members.
- Provide coaching, performance management, and professional development for direct reports.
- Conduct regular 1:1s, utilization reviews, and performance evaluations.
- Support hiring, onboarding, resource planning, and offboarding in collaboration with HR and Leadership.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and delivery excellence across the consulting team.
Operational Oversight & Timekeeping Management Support
- Supports timekeeping accuracy, billable utilization, and delivery capacity across Professional Services.
- Ensure consultants are accurately tracking time in PSA and timekeeping systems.
- Partner with Finance and Leadership to review utilization trends, project margins, and delivery forecasts.
Administrative Leadership & Internal Initiatives
- Lead internal initiatives to improve delivery operations, tools, processes, and documentation.
- Establish and refine delivery playbooks, templates, and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with PredictiveHR / HR Path policies, contractual requirements, and operational standards.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with HR, Finance, IT, Sales, and Operations to support system transitions, integrations, and growth initiatives.
- Serve as a key contributor to Professional Services operational strategy and scalability planning.
Required Skills & Abilities
- Strong hands-on Project Management experience in consulting or professional services environments.
- Proven experience managing consultants, timekeeping teams, or delivery resources.
- Deep experience with UKG Pro Workforce Management (WFM), including timekeeping implementations, scheduling, pay rules, and workforce compliance.
- Experience with UKG Pro HCM is beneficial; however, this role requires strong, hands-on Pro WFM delivery leadership experience.
- Deep understanding of utilization management, PSA systems, and delivery metrics.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to balance strategic leadership with detailed operational execution.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and project management / PSA tools
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, HR, Technology, or related field required.
- 5+ years of experience in Professional Services, Consulting, or Project Delivery.
- 3+ years in a leadership or people management role.
- Experience in HR technology, workforce management, or software implementation services strongly preferred.
- PMP or comparable project management certification preferred.
Physical & Work Requirements
- Prolonged periods of computer-based work.
- Regular participation in virtual meetings.
- Occasional travel to client sites or internal meetings as needed.
