As an experienced Senior System Administrator Storage you are the driving force within the storage team (IDM: Infrastructure Data Management). Together with your team, you keep the data center environment as secure as possible and you are responsible for managing capacity, performance and compliance. You work together with engineers and architects on setting up new services (including imaging, AI, Machine Learning, Cloud). In addition: as a specialist you give substance to working under architecture according to HighLevel/LowLevel Designs, innovation and look at the future way of working; think along with users about which services are suitable in which situation. Here you have an advisory and guiding role; maintain contact with various suppliers; coach your direct colleagues to a professional level. This is what you do by recording work instructions and procedures and training junior and medior managers; you encourage close collaboration with other parts of the System Administration team.
You deal with:
· Storage DELL (isilon)
· Backup DELL (idpa, data domain, avamar, networker)
· You are dealing with:
· Environmental replacement trajectories
· Renewal of the environment
· Requests from the business
· Tickets (incidents, requests)
· Projects that need storage/backup
· Snapshots, quotas, sync jobs.
You are a team player who, together with his colleagues, seizes every opportunity to improve. You are eager to learn and like to know everything about the latest systems and tooling. You keep a cool head under pressure and you don't get discouraged by the dynamics of working in a hospital. You can quickly switch between different tasks. You have good communication skills and you are a committed and driven colleague.
· Preferably you have several years of experience in a similar position;
· Are you familiar with automating management tasks using scripts "IT4IT";
· Do you have experience with storage technology, such as VPLEX, VNX, Unity, ISILON, VxRail and/or DataDomain, or do you have
· Your experience with comparable techniques from other suppliers;
· Make sure that your own knowledge and skills, but also that of the team, are kept up to date
· Knowledge of/be able to work independently with Isilon storage systems (configuration, distribution capacity, replication, etc.) and knowledge of Dell support processes is a must have
· Up-to-date knowledge of Isilon Administrator
