Database System Engineer - MS SQL Server, MySQL, MariaDB, German, Zurich

One of my leading customers, a Swiss IT partner for leading financial and insurance service providers is looking to continue it's period of growth by finding an experienced Database System Engineer to join a talented team.

In this interesting role, you would be responsible for the further development and development of new PaaS offers in the area of ​​MS SQL and Opensource databases, along the business' product development strategy.
You'll be responsible for architectural tasks as well as defining and implementing data protection and security measures.
Another task will be advising and supporting colleagues and teams responsible for applications regarding database technology and performance tuning.

My customer is looking for someone for this position who has completed vocational training as an EFZ computer scientist or equivalent qualification.
Strong experience in MS SQL Server and Opensource databases (MySQL, MariaDB etc.) is important.
It's good to have customer and service orientation experience as well as strong communication skills.

Having a MCSA or MCSE certification is an advantage as well as good knowledge of Powershell and Linux.

Fluency in German and English is essential in a role where you'll be working closely with customers throughout German speaking Switzerland.
