Storage System Engineer - Storage, Virtualization, SAN, NAS, Back-up, Zurich, German

One of my leading customers, a Swiss IT partner for leading financial and insurance service providers is looking to continue it's period of growth by finding an experienced Storage System Engineer to join a talented team.

In this role, you would be responsible for architecture and engineering in the area of ​​storage, cloud and back-up solutions.
You'll be responsible for the further development and optimization of existing infrastructures as well as the planning and implementation of new infrastructure components.

My customer is looking for someone who has completed vocational training as an EFZ computer scientist or equivalent qualification.
You need to have proven engineering and operating experience in the areas of storage including virtualization, SAN, NAS and/or common backup solutions.
Good knowledge of Unix (AIX), Linux, scripting, network, hypervisor (VMware, Hyper-V, PowerVM) would also be a big advantage.
Readiness for standby operations and operational support is also required.

Fluency in German and English is essential in a role where you'll be working closely with customers throughout German speaking Switzerland.
