Your role

  • Provide technical services and support for the product suite
  • Perform deployment activities including system implementation, network integration, customization, system provisioning, acceptance test creation and execution, completion of technical documentation and other services as specified by the support contract and statement of work (SOW)
  • Perform support activities required to resolve technical customer issues, including call handling, problem analysis, troubleshooting, validation and maintenance activities
  • Provide product training to customers
  • Create new tools and automate existing ones to improve the efficiency of product deployment and maintenance
  • Ensure established quality control procedures are adhered to as well as be able to refine and improve upon them
  • Provide customers with a consistently high-quality experience


  • A talented and passionate professional, with at least 5 years of experience with software solutions in the Telecommunications industry
  • Expertise in next-generation IP networking, especially in solutions architecture in the Telecom domain
  • Knowledge of Telecom network architectures, components, protocols, and their usage
  • Deployment and support experience in customer-facing roles
  • BS degree in Telecoms, Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent experience preferred
  • Excellent troubleshooting/problem solving/analytical skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge and hands-on technical experience in any of the following technical areas (in order of importance, the more the better):
    • Linux (RedHat) or other Unix OS
    • Network protocols (Diameter, HTTP, RADIUS, SS7)
    • TCP/IP
    • Intel X86 based hardware
    • Virtualization solutions
    • System administration and management including package managers such as yum and rpm
    • Security solutions
    • High availability solutions
    • 3GPP and IETF standards
    • Network equipment (routers, gateways)
    • SNMP and Network Management Systems
    • Database interfaces (LDAP, ODBC)
    • Shell scripting, Perl, web development (PHP, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, AJAX), XML
  • Strong oral and written communication skills. Able to read, write and speak English fluently, including technical terminology
  • Flexibility with respect to after-hours support duty, work hours and on-phone time
  • Ability to manage multiple customers and priorities based on customer and business needs
  • Self-starter, pro-active, able to take initiative and to work independently
  • Based and allowed to work in The Netherlands
  • Willingness to travel to international customer sites (up to approx. 30% of the time)
