Main tasks/activities:

  • Facilitate process success for agile team setup
  • Guiding and coaching the team on how to use agile and scrum practices
  • Guiding the team on how to get the most out of self-organization & define their working environment to maximize their productivity
  • Ensure efficiency and focus on delivery within team
  • Assess scrum maturity of the team and support them to further enhance their skills at their reasonable pace
  • Support further development of Agile practice and align across agile teams and with other scrum masters
  • Own and facilitate process and meetings to deliver the product
  • Facilitate getting the work done without assigning or dictating work
  • Facilitate discussions, decision making and conflict resolution
  • Setup and moderate scrum ceremonies to the extent necessary & ensure purpose of each meeting is clear and complied with
  • Identify and have oversight of issues and remove impediments
  • Guide team to remove impediments that they can solve themselves
  • Find the right person to resolve impediments within the project or organization
  • Work closely with the product owner and act as ambassador and translator between product owner, agile team and chapter leads
  • Assisting with internal (team) and external (project) communication, improving transparency and information sharing
  • Supporting product owners and epic leads in assuming their role
  • Assist with grooming and maintaining the respective part of the product backlog
  • Identify alignment areas and facilitate discussions across agile teams and chapters
  • Coach and mentor the agile team and product owner
  • Provide all support to the team & lead by example
  • Build a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised and with an emphasis on problem-solving
  • Help and facilitate planning and progress tracking/reporting
  • Understand and communicate work done by the team
  • Support reporting and communicating with respective project governance bodies

Position requirements:

  • Workshop & meeting moderation
  • Conflict resolution & mediation
  • Scrum master certification
  • Coaching in agile methodology & ability to communicate and adapt principles and practices to the project situation
  • Track record of assuming scrum master role in implementation projects for at least 5 years
  • Experience in large transformation projects
  • Awareness and experience in successful agile techniques: User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Automated Testing
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to network and understand the workings of the project
  • Understanding of finance processes, accounting, ideally in the insurance industry
