My customer is continuing to build applications and develop software for cars in 2020! Their hiring shows no signs of slowing down as they look for multiple engineers from Junior, Mid-level to Senior. Their Agile team looks for additional Linux engineers that value high team spirit and learning. Their low hierarchy allows them to provide on the job support for more junior developers, and for senior developers to play an active role in supporting others too.
Your daily tasks would include
- Taking responsibility for the administration, installation and further development of the Linux system landscape (Docker, Ubuntu) and support their cloud architecture
- System monitoring
- Error Analysis
- Configuration and administration of database systems (MySQL) and web servers
- You will work closely with software developers to ensure future operation of their infrastructure
The ideal candidate will come with:
A minimum of B2 level language, and good communication skills
- An IT Apprenticeship /Computer science degree (or similar)
- Several years of experience in administration and optimization of Linux/Unix server landscapes
- In depth knowledge of the operation and admin of the LAMP stack
- Confident dealing with Linux systems as well as shell and scripting (Bash, python, groovy)
- Automotive experience is a strong plus

DevOps Engineer Splunk - Splunk, Linux, Unix, Ansible, Python, Zurich One of my leading customers; a Swiss IT partner for leading financial and insurance service providers, is going from strength to strength and looking to expand it's team with a System Engineer focused on Skype. With offices based in Zurich and Eastern Switzerland, they are flexible in terms of location. In this demanding role, you would be responsible for consulting, designing and implementing Splunk projects. Whilst working with internal stakeholders and customers, you'll develop innovative solutions for customer-specific requirements and implement them independently. You would work on the further development of new PaaS and hybrid monitoring solutions. Planning, organizing and implementing projects is an important aspect of the role. You would support customers, internal architects and project teams in relation to the various Splunk environments. My customer is looking for someone who has a good education and/training within computer science. You need to have a strong background working as a Splunk Engineer, with good experience in Unix / Linux systems. Knowledge of scripting and automation technologies (e.g. Ansible, Python) is also important for this role. It's vitally important that you speak fluent German and English for this position as you'll be working closely with clients and colleagues.
