We are searching for a Lead Frontend Developer to drive the UI development on our international platform.
About the job
Our International platform is based on microservice architecture, catering for multiple solutions from on-prem to fully cloud. The platform must serve several user types, from the administration user that needs to use the platform to distribute content to the end user that easily must be able to get an overview of important documents and act upon these. No matter the user types the UI/UX must be intuitive, consistent, and well designed.
On a day-by-day basis you are responsible for building and managing a library of reusable UI components. You will be part of our international team where you will be providing the guidelines and do peer review of important pull request for the UI developers on the team. You aspire by example through your own participation in the development work.
Furthermore, you will provide UX guidance and visuals in Figma in a close cooperation with the Product Manager.
Responsibilities for the role as lead frontend developer:
- Tooling and enforcing the UI-architecture
- Be responsible for building working prototypes, which can be tested (MVPs)
- Have overall responsibility for the entire life cycle of the frontend code
- Plan and migrate existing code – moving from Bootstrap to Charkra
- If needed find the most suitable 3rd party solutions that we can use, and make sure that these are kept up to date
- Be an active supporter for Product Owners, Product Managers and Architects (planning and specification)
You have several years of exposure to working in an agile development environment and understand the agile principles and how agile software moves from idea to delivered value. You are very experienced in UI software development and have a strong understanding of visual UX. Your formal education isn’t that important, what’s important is that you love solving problems, understands and implements user needs.
- Fundamental understanding of design systems (understanding visual UX)
- Basic understanding of atomic design principles
- Being a frontend Jedi
