Google Cloud Engineer (Terraform)

NB: For this role we are only considering engineers already located within the Netherlands as we cannot provide relocation.

My client, a market leader in energy meta data management platforms, is looking for a Cloud Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will be a technical self-starter who can help them maintain their systems on Google cloud while supporting the expansion towards Azure.

I'm looking for someone who:

• Has at least 3 years of experience with cloud computing, specifically with Google Cloud Platform and preferably similar experience with Azure.
• Is well-versed in Terraform and can provision, update, and manage infrastructure.
• Is able to help teams to automate their approach to using a cloud environment and move towards more of a platform understanding.
• Has experience with container orchestration (GKE) and is good at managing containers (Kubernetes).
• Experience with Pub/Sub or similar is greatly beneficial as it's widely used, although they'd like to make this element more cloud agnostic. Experience with Apache Kafka and/or confluent could be interesting.
• Is proficient in scripting, either through Bash and/or Python.
• Has experience with GitLab (or similar) and can help set up CI/CD pipelines.
