Are you a strong Scala developer with exposure to Data and in-depth knowledge of Kafka?

My customer is working on some up and coming challenging projects in the mobility space.

By securing this contract you will join a very inclusive and international team as a freelancer for 3 months (with a high chance of extension) where they believe every team member should have an influence and voice in suggesting ideas and creative technical solutions.

You will work on the maintenance and adoption of Kafka within the team, support the devops team as part of the clusters, be involved in internal analytics and support the build of a tracking services into the data lake.

You will also develop hands on in Scala using APIs to connect backend databases.

The key requirements include:

  • Kafka enthusiast and expert
  • Scala programming (not just knowledge and using, but also from a conceptual point)
  • Professional experience with AWS and Kubernetes
  • Open communication and productive attitude and mindset
  • English speaking

Additional experience with Python and .js is a nice to have

Can be based on site in Berlin or fully remote
