Design Engineer – ASME Vessel

I am recruiting on behalf of a client which is currently seeking a experienced Design Engineer (ASME Vessel) based just outside of Chicago, Illinois.

Job Description

- Facilitate the coordination between ASME Code Inspectors and other approval agencies to ensure the approval of AET products and services.

- Track project performance vs. project deliverables and communicate project status to both internal and external stake holders on a regular basis.

- Monitor project progress in relation to its deliverables and regularly update both internal and external stakeholders on the project's status.

- Provide aid in the procurement of components and management of vendors when required.

Requirements

- Completion of a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant engineering field.

- A minimum of 5 years of experience in Design Engineering.

- Experience in Process Engineering would be advantageous.

- Proficiency in utilizing mechanical engineering software and analysis tools like FEA, SolidWorks, and CAD.

- Capability to handle multiple projects and collaborate within tight deadlines.

- Proficient verbal and written communication abilities are necessary.

- Technical and practical proficiency in applying ASME Code to vessel design and fabrication, as well as familiarity with software tools such as COMPRESS.
