Deputy Java team lead – Munich

We are currently seeking talented and highly motivated developers who are eager to join our fast-paced CI/CD environment and contribute to our daily releases.

In our work, we utilize a range of technologies and tools, including Java 15, Spring Boot 2, Spring Framework 5, Vue.js, ECMAScript 2019, Elasticsearch, Redis, RabbitMQ, Gradle, and more.

Your Qualifications:

• Several years of experience in web application development, with expertise in Spring or Java EE, JPA, and SQL queries
• Willingness to take ownership of tasks and deliver high-quality results
• Strong communication skills with an emphasis on empathy and collaboration
• Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Proficiency in mentoring and leadership, demonstrating organizational and time management skills
• Fluent in written and spoken English, with knowledge of German being a plus
• Ambition to lead a team and serve as a role model, with recruitment experience considered a bonus
• Leadership experience is advantageous

Your Responsibilities:

• Backend development of various applications as a member of a cross-functional agile team, emphasizing knowledge sharing
• Taking ownership of assigned tasks, from understanding requirements to implementation, pull requests, and product delivery, with a focus on clean code
• Engaging in unit testing and participating in the CI/CD process
• Contributing to the rotation-based process of analyzing, prioritizing, and resolving production issues, while seeking and providing assistance within the team
• Assisting the team in keeping the applications technologically up to date
• Leading a team once you have successfully demonstrated your skills and capabilities
