Looking for a contract Release Manager

  • Forward Plan the release windows and cycles across our platforms
  • Measure and monitor progress to ensure platform releases are delivered on time and that they meet or exceed expectations
  • Coordinate release content and effort based on the service request backlog, pending service requests, third party applications, or operating system updates
  • Communicate all key project plans, commitments, and changes including requirements, QA plans, schedule, and scope changes, structured around roadmap and release schedules
  • Manage relationships and coordinate work between different teams at different locations
  • Communicate release details and schedules to the Business as required
  • Maintains the release schedule for all platform services and ensure alignment across key partners and vendors.
  • Continually work towards making improvements in the release process
  • Participate in CAB meetings to discuss release scope and/or roadblocks
  • Work with different stakeholders to understand LG's B2B Platform networks that effectively reflects business needs, service-level and availability requirements
  • Deliver and drive defect management with the B2B platform vendors
  • Create, implement and manage key release management pillars as environment management, life cycle management
  • Support the delivery and development teams with coordinating and structuring incident management and streamline internal processes with operations and engineering teams.

Preferred education/ qualifications:

  • Bachelor or Master Degree in a technical subject (preferable IT or Telecommunication)
  • Fluent spoken and written English
  • Ideally fluent spoken and written other main European languages
  • First level Scrum Master certification

Knowledge & Experience:

  • Experience in Release Management roles in complex technical environments
  • Advanced knowledge of platform development lifecycles
  • Demonstrate ability to coordinate cross-functional work teams towards task completion
  • Familiar to work in an agile environment, preferable as a scrum master
  • Strong understanding of technologies and platforms specific to a large cable and quad play operator across B2B products & services
  • A technical background with 2-5 years' experience in a telecommunication and/or core network and IP spaces
  • Can handle the complexity associated with addressing the needs of multiple affiliate countries
