Are you an experience Cloud Engineer who has a passion for improving complex system functionality?

Would you like to opportunity to innovate an entire company's AWS cloud functionality, building and influencing several teams systems adapting a DevOps methodology?

Do you have a solid understanding of AWS, with the ability to optimise infrastructure through frictionless CI/CD pipelines?

If yes, then this is such an exciting time for you to join a brand new team working on a brand-new project which you will be the innovator for. It will be broken down into a 3-step process:

  1. Migrating onto AWS, running and maintaining this overtime.
  2. Optimising production processes to decrease the cost across all systems.
  3. Innovating the entire company's AWS cloud functionality.

What's will you be doing?

Your main goal will be to ensure that they have optimal infrastructure for their solutions and that the developers have frictionless CI/CD pipelines focusing on AWS solutions, CloudFormation, automating provisional systems and scripting. You will have a lot of freedom for innovation and focus mainly on the topics of; Cloud computing, Automation, CI/CD processes, containerisation and monitoring to ensure reliability of the cloud.

What do you need?

You need to have at a solid understanding of how to plan the both the migration and execution into AWS. You must know how to build CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins exp, preferably), understand how backend development works (Java shop) and have the ability to explain the process to the development teams. This effectively, will be your way to internally consult the backend engineers to the vitality of implementing a DevOps mindset into their SDLC.

You must have a solid understanding of hands-on AWS experience! This is a must have due to you being one of the leaders within the team that will be teaching all other teams how and why AWS will be used and the functionality of it.
