Catering Instructor / Auditor

About the Role

As a Catering Instructor/Auditor, you will play a crucial role in upholding our high standards. You’ll be responsible for training, auditing, and troubleshooting at our offices and onboard client vessels.

Key Responsibilities:

• Training:
• Conduct in-person training sessions for campbosses, cooks, and stewards at our Maritime Food Lab in Antwerp.
• Provide online training and coaching for onboard personnel.
• Assess the suitability of catering staff for managed vessels.
• Auditing:
• Conduct audits against international maritime catering standards.
• Perform stock takes and input data into our systems.
• Operational Support:
• Build strong relationships with clients, crew, suppliers, and captains.
• Contribute to menu planning and development, considering cultural diversity and client preferences.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Fluency in Dutch and English
• Strong computer skills (MS Office Suite)
• 5+ years of experience in the catering industry
• In-depth knowledge of food hygiene and safety regulations (HACCP)
• Familiarity with MARPOL guidelines
• Culinary degree with international cuisine expertise
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and under pressure
• Valid driver’s license (Class B)
