Location: Munich, Germany
Job Summary:
My client is seeking an experienced Process Engineer to join their Biogas team in Munich. As a Process Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing biogas processes to ensure efficient production of renewable energy. You will work with cross-functional teams to identify areas of improvement and develop solutions to improve the overall performance of the biogas plant.
Responsibilities:
- Design and optimize biogas production processes, including feedstock preparation, digestion, biogas upgrading, and utilization.
- Conduct process simulations and modeling to evaluate system performance and identify areas of improvement.
- Develop and implement process control strategies to optimize plant performance and ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
- Work with cross-functional teams to identify areas of improvement and develop solutions to improve overall plant performance.
- Develop and maintain process documentation, including process flow diagrams, P&IDs, and operating procedures.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for plant operations, including startup, shutdown, and emergency situations.
- Evaluate new technologies and process improvements to optimize plant performance and reduce operating costs.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and safety guidelines.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical or Process Engineering, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in biogas production or related field.
- Experience with process modeling and simulation software (e.g., Aspen, SuperPro, HYSYS).
- Knowledge of biogas production processes, including feedstock preparation, digestion, biogas upgrading, and utilization.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Fluent in English and German.
