Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with our multidisciplinary engineering team to design and develop cutting-edge battery cells tailored for our golf cart EVs.
- Utilize your expertise in battery chemistry, materials science, and thermal management to optimize cell performance, energy density, and lifespan.
- Conduct thorough testing and validation of battery cells, both in laboratory settings and real-world conditions, ensuring safety and reliability.
- Employ CAD and other relevant tools to create detailed battery cell designs, considering factors such as size, shape, and integration with the vehicle's architecture.
- Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to continually enhance the design of battery cells.
- Work closely with suppliers to source high-quality battery components and materials while managing costs effectively.
- Collaborate with the manufacturing team to ensure seamless integration of battery cells into the golf cart production process.
- Contribute to the development of user manuals and training materials related to the battery system.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field. PhD is a plus.
- Proven experience (4+ years) in battery cell design, preferably within the electric vehicle domain.
- Strong proficiency in battery chemistry, electrochemistry, and thermal management.
- Proficiency in CAD software and other relevant design tools.
- Solid understanding of safety standards and regulations pertaining to battery systems in electric vehicles.
