My client is a leading EPC company specializing in solar projects across the U.S., providing comprehensive engineering, labor, and equipment services. Our team has delivered over 8 GW of solar infrastructure nationwide.

Role Overview: Utility Scale Solar Commissioning Technician will assist in project commissioning, working closely with the Commissioning Superintendent and Director. This role requires travel to various project sites across multiple states.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify and address commissioning issues affecting project milestones.
• Conduct inspections before energization to ensure quality standards.
• Support safety protocols during commissioning, troubleshoot, and diagnose system issues.
• Assist in reviewing project plans, drawings, and engineering discussions.
• Upload daily reports using construction management software.
• Participate in training entry-level technicians and support team members.
• Develop project lessons learned and maintain up-to-date technical knowledge.

Requirements:

• 1-3+ years of experience in utility-scale solar commissioning.
• Strong understanding of OSHA safety practices.
• Experience with cloud-based construction management software.
• Knowledge of project plans, specifications, and construction principles.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma / GED required; Associate degree preferred.
• OSHA 30 Certified.

Nice to Have:

• Experience in renewable energy (solar).
• NABCEP PV Associate Certification, Electrical License, or NFPA 70e.

Work Environment:

• Extensive travel required.
• Ability to work in outdoor environments across various climates.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work flexible hours.
