Job Overview:
The company is seeking a talented and motivated Industrial Automation Engineer to join its dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automation solutions to enhance production capabilities. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement and ensure the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop automation systems for rotary converting tools and packaging production lines.
- Program, test, and debug PLCs, HMIs, and other industrial control systems.
- Implement and integrate robotics and other advanced technologies to optimize production processes.
- Conduct regular maintenance and troubleshooting of automation equipment to ensure minimal downtime.
- Collaborate with design engineers, production teams, and clients to identify automation needs and develop tailored solutions.
- Prepare technical documentation, including system schematics, operation manuals, and maintenance procedures.
- Train production staff on the operation and maintenance of automation systems.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in industrial automation technologies and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial automation, preferably within the packaging or manufacturing industry.
- Proficiency in programming PLCs (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, etc.) and HMIs.
- Experience with robotics integration and programming.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, control systems, and instrumentation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Proficiency in English; knowledge of Dutch is a plus.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with CAD software for designing control panels and electrical systems.
- Familiarity with Industry 4.0 concepts and IoT applications in manufacturing.
- Knowledge of safety standards and regulations related to industrial automation.
