Job Title: Development Engineer – Propulsion Systems

Overview of the Role

We are working with an innovative engineering company developing advanced electromechanical systems for demanding applications. Due to continued growth, they are looking to hire a Development Engineer to support the design, development, testing, and validation of new products and technologies.

Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will be involved in the full product development lifecycle, from concept and prototyping through to testing, validation, and deployment of innovative technologies.

Candidate Profile

Essential

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automotive Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Experience developing electric drive systems, embedded electrical systems, battery-powered systems, or similar technologies.
• Understanding of CAN communication protocols and electrical control systems.
• Experience across product development stages including concept design, prototyping, testing, validation, or implementation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret and report technical data.
• Fluent English communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Hands-on engineering mindset with a proactive approach to problem solving.

Required / Highly Preferred

• Experience performing system validation, testing, and design verification.
• Knowledge of FMEA and risk assessment methodologies.
• Experience working in multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Familiarity with system architecture and integration.
• Experience using 2D and/or 3D CAD software.

Beneficial

• Experience in automotive, off-highway, aerospace, industrial, or other regulated engineering sectors.
• Exposure to electrified power systems, energy storage technologies, or alternative energy solutions.
• Experience supporting international engineering projects.
• Knowledge of advanced electrification and control technologies.
