Overview

An established self-performing general contractor is seeking an experienced Site EHS Manager to oversee a large concrete structure project in Miami. This role is field-focused, supporting safe delivery of heavy civil and vertical construction activities while driving a strong safety culture on site.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day site safety management, conducting field inspections and safety audits across all active work areas.

• Oversee excavation, concrete, and structural scopes, ensuring compliance with OSHA and company standards.

• Deliver toolbox talks, incident investigations, and corrective action plans.

• Support site leadership with risk assessments, pre-task planning, and JHAs.

• Engage with bilingual field teams, ensuring clear and consistent safety communication.

• Coordinate with subcontractors on permit-to-work, LOTO, and confined space programs.

• Track and report safety performance metrics to support continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of safety experience in heavy commercial or concrete construction environments.

• Strong knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1926 and self-perform construction practices.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence field teams.

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) required.

• Preferred certifications: OSHA 30, CHST, STS, CSP, or OSHA 510.

• Familiarity with digital safety reporting systems is an advantage.
