Systems Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

As a Systems Engineer, you’ll serve as the technical authority during the sales process, acting as a critical support to account managers and project teams in crafting system solutions. This role involves close collaboration with various technical experts within the organization. Your responsibilities include preparing system solutions, creating quotations, and determining cost estimates.

Your Role:

• Lead the development of system solutions during the sales phase, working from customer specifications.
• Engage with customers to clarify specifications and present system solutions internally and occasionally externally.
• Conduct practical tests when necessary to help convince customers before they commit to an order.
• Maintain close communication with internal technical specialists to ensure the feasibility of proposed solutions in all aspects.
• Develop conceptual designs, quotation formats, and project layouts.
• Perform cost analysis and system capacity calculations in collaboration with technical specialists and the project manager.
• Prepare detailed quotations for customers.

Qualifications:

• A completed higher professional education in a technical field, preferably mechanical engineering or mechatronics.
• Several years of relevant experience in automated logistics systems and/or mechanical engineering.
• A creative and conceptual thinker with a pragmatic approach and determination. You should also be independent and possess strong analytical skills.
• Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel.
• Fluency in both Dutch and English.
• Experience with AutoCAD is a plus.
• Knowledge of the supplier market is advantageous.
