Wind Turbine Technician

My well-known customer is currently seeking a Wind Turbine Technician to join their dynamic team. If you are passionate about sustainable energy and possess the technical expertise required for wind turbine maintenance and operation, then this is the job for you.

Responsibilities:

• Maintenance and Repairs: Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on wind turbines to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Inspections: Conduct regular inspections of wind turbine components, including blades, nacelles, and tower structures, identifying and addressing any issues promptly.
• Technical Diagnostics: Utilise diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and rectify electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic issues in wind turbine systems.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and your team.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs, and provide detailed reports as necessary.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the operations team and other technicians to coordinate maintenance schedules and respond to any emergencies promptly.

Qualifications:

• Educational Background: Diploma or certification in Wind Energy Technology, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: Previous experience as a Wind Turbine Technician is preferred, but motivated entry-level candidates with relevant education will be considered.
• Technical Skills: Strong understanding of wind turbine systems, including electrical and mechanical components. Experience with diagnostic tools and software is an advantage.
• Safety Focus: Commitment to adhering to safety regulations and promoting a safety-first culture in the workplace.
• Problem-Solving: Proven ability to diagnose and solve technical issues efficiently, minimizing downtime.
• Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team and communicate effectively.
• Physical Fitness: Comfortable working at heights and in various weather conditions.
