Darwin Recruitment are currently hiring for an RF Electronics Engineer on behalf of a space company located in Paris that was founded in 2021, currently has around 25 employees looking to expand by a further 10 heads across 2024. This business is dedicated to addressing emergent threats such as space debris through cutting-edge technologies. Joining the electronics department, your mission will be to develop a complex electronic sensor with a significant radiofrequency part. Bringing RF expertise to the table, you will define and organize developments for this instrument from its concept phase to space qualification. As an electronics expert, you will also be involved in other electronics activities.
First Missions
- Getting up to speed on the system architecture and the past electronics developments
- Defining an initial radiofrequency architecture that meet the mission requirements
- Simulating and designing the first radio frequency chains
Responsibilities
- Interfacing with the system lead and other teams to extract and refine specifications
- Designing and simulating radiofrequency circuits
- Designing mixed analogue and digital electronic boards
- Elaborating the validation and qualification process and roadmap
- Carrying out performance tests on the system developed
- EMC testing of the electronic system
- Searching and selecting the appropriate components, and building relationships with the providers
- Writing the functional and technical documentation
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience, and proven knowledge in radiofrequency and electronic design
- Expertise in radiofrequency simulation and design (ADS or Ansys)
- Knowledge of antenna parameters, RF front-end architecture, and radar design
- Knowledge of signal integrity and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC)
- Expertise in electronic board design (Altium Designer) and circuit simulation (Spice)
- Knowledge of space engineering and the effects of radiation is a plus
- As we have an international team, knowledge of technical English is required. Fluency in French is a plus
