TECHNICAL SUPERINTENDENT

Technical Superintendent
In this position you are responsible for the technical condition of a number of tugboats assigned to you. For these ships you are the first technical point of contact for the CHPs on board. You provide technical advice and support for necessary repairs by telephone, email or on board. Together you ensure that everything in the engine room runs smoothly and meets our quality requirements, so that our ships can operate optimally. You are also responsible for planning and leading dockings, repairs and maintenance of equipment. You manage budgets, advise on technical improvements and support the purchasing department. You work closely with the Technical Manager, Technical Purchaser and our technical personnel on the fleet.

Your profile
* You have an MBO+ working and thinking level and completed training as a mechanic;
* You have at least 5 years of experience as a 2nd WTK or HWTK or in repairs to ships, preferably in towing or in the merchant navy;
* You can switch quickly, are practical and have a hands-on mentality;
* You are flexible and also willing to work outside office hours;
* You have strong communication skills, know how to inspire others and can convey your technical knowledge well;
* You have knowledge of modern electronics, operating systems, computers. Knowledge of after treatment and hybrid systems is an advantage;
* You enjoy working together in a team;
* You master the Dutch and English language, spoken and written.
