If you excel at seamlessly shifting between abstract, process-oriented thinking and practical implementation while improving information flows, we want to hear from you!

See below for you potential new position!

  • Strengthen the Lead Engineer (LE) best practices as a Technical Manager or Lead Rail Security Engineer.
  • Co-own the development of a clear LE process description and enhance the rollout of Systems Engineering (SE) processes.

  • Maintain a comprehensive portfolio overview of all department projects from a human-process-technology perspective alongside a colleague project manager.
  • Support the Main Advisory Group by predicting, reporting, and maintaining technical project status.
  • Assist in the quotation process and enhance the learning within the project organization.
  • Improve processes for subsequent projects in collaboration with the quality and safety manager.
  • Collaborate with senior lead engineers to overcome LE challenges in rail security projects.

Skills and Attributes:

  • Eagerness for learning and dedication to explicit knowledge transfer.
  • Ability to maintain project momentum by effectively managing information integration.
  • Strong organizational skills to create order and identify new challenges.

  • Completed HBO or WO education focusing on technical management, engineering management, project management, and systems engineering.
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in a similar position, which can be considered in lieu of formal education in exceptional cases. Experience across different sectors is acceptable, not limited to rail or infrastructure.
  • While an electrical engineering background is not mandatory, a strong affinity with principles of electricity, software, systems, and process-oriented technical safety work is essential.
  • Proven experience in a Lead Engineering or Technical Management role, ideally involving formal safety evidence, preferably within rail projects.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Dutch, with a good command of English.

What’s On Offer:

  • Generous Leave: 30 days of leave for full-time employment, with the option to buy or sell additional days.
  • Hybrid Working: Flexible working arrangements with a professionally designed home office setup and appropriate compensation, ensuring a balanced work week whether full-time or part-time.
  • Profit Sharing: Result-dependent profit distribution.
