Field Service Coordinator/Project Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to lead and manage our local field service team in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. In this critical role, you will oversee all aspects of field service operations, from project initiation to successful customer handover.

Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership:
    • Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of Field Service Engineers.
    • Ensure adherence to disciplinary standards and address team issues effectively.
    • Conduct performance reviews, identify development needs, and organize training programs.
    • Recruit, hire, and onboard new team members.
  • Project Management:
    • Manage all technical, administrative, and scheduling aspects of field service projects.
    • Prepare service quotations, select subcontractors, and coordinate with the Workshop Supervisor.
    • Facilitate smooth collaboration among all stakeholders.
    • Develop comprehensive work instructions and ensure adherence to safety regulations.
    • Plan and coordinate turnarounds and shutdowns.
    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities.
  • Customer Focus:
    • Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
    • Conduct customer visits and maintain detailed project records.
    • Ensure customer satisfaction and exceed expectations.

Qualifications:

  • Senior High School degree, Apprenticeship training, or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Expertise in Rotating Equipment (steam turbines, compressors, expanders).
  • Strong technical skills, including the ability to interpret drawings and technical documents.
  • Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office and MS Project.
  • Proven project management and communication skills.
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken); other languages are a plus.
  • Willingness to travel extensively (often exceeding 50% of the time).
