Freelance Zuora Architect (Fully Remote – USA)

We are partnering with a globally recognized video technology and SaaS platform that serves millions of users worldwide, from individual creators to large enterprise customers. The company operates a highly complex, high-volume subscription and monetization ecosystem, and Zuora sits at the core of its billing, payments, and revenue architecture.

They are seeking an experienced Freelance Zuora Architect to take ownership of solution design, platform strategy, and architectural decision-making within their Zuora landscape.

This is a senior, hands-on role suited for someone who has designed and scaled Zuora implementations in enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end Zuora architecture across Billing, Payments, and Revenue

• Design scalable, resilient solutions supporting high-volume subscription and usage-based models

• Lead architectural decisions for pricing, product catalogs, amendments, invoicing, and revenue recognition

• Define integration architecture between Zuora and surrounding systems (CRM, ERP, data platforms, internal services)

• Act as the Zuora subject-matter expert, advising engineering, finance, and product stakeholders

• Review and optimize existing configurations for performance, scalability, and best practices

• Provide guidance to developers and ensure architectural standards are followed

• Support roadmap planning and future-state Zuora strategy

Required Skills & Experience

• Extensive experience working with Zuora in an architect or lead capacity

• Deep expertise in Zuora Billing, Payments, and Revenue

• Strong understanding of SaaS and subscription-based business models

• Proven experience designing enterprise-scale Zuora architectures

• Hands-on experience with Zuora APIs, workflows, and integrations

• Experience integrating Zuora with systems such as Salesforce, NetSuite, or custom platforms

• Excellent stakeholder communication and documentation skills

• Comfortable working independently in a fully remote environment

• Must be based in the USA and eligible to work as a contractor
