Electrical Engineer – BESS & Medium Voltage

The Role

We are looking for an Electrical Engineer with strong medium-voltage and grid connection experience to help design and deliver BESS projects from concept through to operation.

You will work closely with project teams, grid operators, customers, and technical partners, taking ownership of electrical concepts and solving complex technical challenges.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop grid connection and measurement concepts for BESS and BESS + PV projects.

• Define electrical connection, protection, measurement, and system architecture concepts.

• Review and create SLDs, site plans, and electrical diagrams.

• Assess project sites and customer requirements for technical feasibility and grid connectivity.

• Coordinate with grid operators, customers, and engineering partners.

• Support projects through implementation, commissioning, and certification.

• Help develop technical processes and standards as the business grows.

Your Profile

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Technology, or similar; alternatively, Master Electrician / State-Certified Technician.

• 2+ years’ experience in energy technology, grid connection, or electrical engineering.

• Strong knowledge of medium-voltage systems; switching authorization is advantageous.

• Confident interpreting and creating electrical drawings and SLDs.

• Experience with BESS, PV, renewables, or energy markets is beneficial.

• Strong problem-solving and project management skills.

• Entrepreneurial mindset with a hands-on approach.

• Excellent German communication skills.
