Position: Domain Architect – Financial Markets & Group Treasury

Location: Amsterdam

Our client, a prominent player in the financial sector, seeks an experienced Domain Architect to support its Wholesale Banking unit. This role focuses on enterprise architecture within Financial Markets and Group Treasury, and it’s ideal for professionals with a strong background in large-scale, international settings.

Role Overview

The Domain Architect will drive architecture initiatives within the Financial Markets & Group Treasury (FMGT) Tech Tribe, supporting capital market and treasury functions. You’ll be responsible for creating, managing, and enhancing architectural frameworks that align with business goals. This involves developing and executing roadmaps, collaborating with business and technology teams, and ensuring a coherent, effective architecture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architecture Development: Design and maintain application architectures, roadmaps, and data models. Support the FMGT Tribe with impactful, cross-domain architecture.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with tech and business leaders to develop target architectures that integrate business needs, company standards, and industry best practices.
  • Architecture Management: Partner with Solution Architects to translate logical architecture into technical solutions, overseeing quality and delivery.
  • Advisory Role: Act as a trusted advisor to teams across the organization, contributing insights on market trends and architecture improvements.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s in computer science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or similar.
  • Experience: At least 5 years as an IT architect or in a similar role, ideally within financial institutions.
  • Skills:
  • Strong understanding of Financial Markets and treasury business processes.
  • Knowledge of regulated environments and architecture standards (e.g., TOGAF).
  • Communication skills to convey complex topics effectively across teams.
  • Problem-solving, analytical thinking, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
