The role will be 10 % on site 90 % remote

Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled SAP FI Expert/Consultant with a strong focus on Mexican localization and extensive tax expertise. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of SAP Financial Accounting (FI) and be well-versed in Mexican tax regulations, including VAT, withholding taxes, and electronic invoicing (CFDI). This role involves ensuring that the SAP FI module is effectively configured to comply with local tax laws and regulations while meeting business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• SAP FI Localization – Configure and customize the SAP FI module to meet the specific requirements of Mexican localization, ensuring full compliance with local financial regulations and tax laws.
• Tax Compliance – Implement and maintain configurations related to Mexican tax regulations, including VAT, withholding taxes, and electronic invoicing (CFDI).
• Integration – Work closely with other SAP modules (such as SAP MM, SD, and CO) to ensure seamless integration and accurate financial reporting.
• Process Optimization – Analyze and optimize financial processes, ensuring they align with both global standards and Mexican legal requirements.
• Documentation – Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for SAP FI configurations, tax setups, and financial processes, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
• Training and Support – Provide training and ongoing support to the finance team, ensuring they are proficient in using the SAP FI system and understand local tax implications.
• Audit Support – Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary financial data and ensuring compliance with Mexican tax laws.
• Continuous Improvement – Stay updated on changes in Mexican tax regulations and SAP FI functionalities, recommending and implementing improvements as needed.

Qualifications:

• Extensive experience as an SAP FI Consultant with a focus on Mexican localization and tax compliance. Proven track record of implementing and maintaining SAP FI solutions in Mexico.
• Strong expertise in SAP FI, particularly in the areas of VAT, withholding taxes, electronic invoicing (CFDI), and other Mexican tax requirements. Familiarity with integration points between SAP FI and other SAP modules.
• In-depth knowledge of Mexican tax laws, regulations, and reporting requirements, with the ability to apply this knowledge within the SAP environment.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex tax regulations and apply them within SAP FI.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with finance teams, IT, and external auditors.
• Fluency in Spanish is required; proficiency in English is desirable.
