• Job Description: Project Developer (Solar and BESS) – Cologne

  A client of mine are seeking a dynamic Project Developer specializing in Solar and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) for there Munich-based team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the full lifecycle of solar and BESS projects, from site identification and feasibility studies through to permitting, design, and execution. You will collaborate with internal teams, local authorities, and external partners to ensure timely and successful project development.

  Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and assess potential sites for solar and BESS projects
  • Conduct feasibility studies, financial modeling, and risk assessments
  • Oversee permitting, design, and regulatory compliance
  • Coordinate with engineering, legal, and finance teams
  • Manage stakeholder relationships, including local authorities and landowners
  • Monitor project timelines and budgets, ensuring milestones are met

  Qualifications:

  • Degree in renewable energy, engineering, or related field
  • Experience in solar and BESS project development
  • Strong knowledge of German energy regulations and permitting processes
  • Excellent communication and project management skills

  Fluency in both German and English is required.
