Engineering Manager (Hands-On)

About the Organization
A specialized provider of corporate services, supporting organizations in strengthening governance, investor relations, and regulatory compliance via digital platforms. The company operates internationally, with a focus on European markets, serving a diverse client base that includes publicly listed firms, private enterprises, advisors, and public institutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee a team of 5+ software engineers, with responsibilities split between hands-on development (50%) and leadership duties, including mentorship and performance management.

  • Architect and deliver scalable, cloud-native solutions while ensuring adherence to high-quality software standards.

  • Perform rigorous code reviews, resolve complex technical issues, and enforce security and development best practices.

  • Partner with Product Owners to translate business objectives into technical deliverables.

  • Champion Agile/Scrum frameworks, refine team workflows, and optimize tooling for efficiency.

  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for onboarding, knowledge sharing, and development processes.

  • Participate in periodic travel to coordinate with distributed teams.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a relevant discipline.

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with .NET technologies (C#, ASP.NET, .NET Core).

  • 2+ years in a team leadership role within software development.

  • Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), microservices architecture, and containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes).

  • Experience with frontend frameworks (React.js, Angular) is advantageous.

  • Familiarity with DevOps principles, including CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and Gitflow.

  • Basic understanding of EU financial regulations (e.g., Market Abuse Regulation, Whistleblowing Directive) is desirable.
