Job Description: Project Developer – Solar or Wind Energy (Hamburg)

Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Project Developer specializing in solar or wind energy to join our team in Hamburg. This role involves managing renewable energy projects from conception through to realization. You will play a critical role in driving the energy transition by developing high-quality solar or wind projects that contribute to sustainability goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify and assess suitable locations for solar or wind projects, considering technical, environmental, and regulatory constraints.
• Conduct feasibility studies, including resource assessments, grid connectivity, and land availability

• Liaise with local authorities, utility companies, and regulatory bodies to obtain necessary permits and approvals.
• Build and maintain relationships with community representatives and address concerns to ensure project acceptance.
• Collaborate with internal teams such as engineering, legal, and finance to align project goals and timelines.

• Prepare business cases and financial models to evaluate project viability.
• Collaborate with technical experts to optimize project design and layout for maximum efficiency and compliance.
• Contribute to tendering processes and prepare project documentation for investors or funding applications.

• Monitor regulatory changes and ensure projects comply with national and regional laws.
• Identify and mitigate risks during all phases of development.

• Provide regular updates to senior management on project status, challenges, and key milestones.
• Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and meetings to enhance our profile in the renewable energy sector.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Education: A degree in renewable energy, environmental science, engineering, or a related field.
• Experience:
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in project development within the solar or wind energy sector.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing projects from site selection to approval.
• Skills:
  • Strong understanding of permitting processes, land acquisition, and environmental impact assessments.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and project economics.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with software tools for resource assessment and mapping (e.g., GIS).
• Languages: Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken.
