This is an exciting opportunity for a PIC Design Engineer to join an innovative team in Switzerland. This PIC Design Engineer will be expected to aid their team in modelling, simulation, design and layout of photonic components for applications such as telecommunications and sensing.

Your purpose:

• Design and simulation of photonic integrated circuits using industry-standard design

  tools.

• Optimization of PIC layouts for performance, manufacturability, and reliability.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and deliver

  high-quality designs on schedule.

• Characterization and testing of fabricated PICs to validate performance

  specifications.

What You Bring:

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Photonics, or a related field.

• Strong background in photonics, semiconductor devices, and integrated circuit design.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Proficiency in simulation tools (e.g. Lumerical, RSoft)

• Experience with layout tools such as Synopsys tools, IPKISS or GDSfactory.
