Business Analyst – Reporting Specialist

Position Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated Business Analyst with 5+ years of experience and a strong focus on reporting and data analysis. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, with the ability to work closely with product teams, stakeholders, and engineers. You will be responsible for JIRA reporting, data modeling, ensuring data quality, and delivering comprehensive data reports. Your role will involve creating user stories and ensuring that business requirements are translated effectively into actionable insights. The position requires an individual who can start as soon as possible and make an immediate impact.

Key Responsibilities:

Requirements Gathering and User Stories Creation: Collaborate with product teams, stakeholders, and engineers to gather business requirements, document them, and create detailed user stories for development teams.

JIRA Reporting and Project Tracking: Generate, maintain, and analyze JIRA reports to track project progress, identify bottlenecks, and ensure timely delivery of tasks and milestones.

Data Modeling and Analysis: Work with data models to ensure accuracy, integrity, and quality, analyzing data sets to provide actionable insights and recommendations for improvement.

Data Quality Assurance: Identify data inconsistencies and work with teams to implement corrective measures to ensure data quality, reliability, and completeness.

Stakeholder Communication and Liaison:

Serve as a key point of communication between stakeholders, product teams, and engineering teams, ensuring that all parties are aligned on business needs, project progress, and deliverables.

Data Reporting: Develop and generate detailed data reports, dashboards, and visualizations to provide business insights and facilitate decision-making across departments.

Documentation and Process Improvement: Document business processes, data models, and project requirements. Suggest and implement process improvements to enhance reporting and data analysis practices.

Requirements:

• Strong communication and collaboration skills, especially in working with cross-functional teams.
• Experience with JIRA for reporting and tracking project progress.
• Expertise in data modeling, ensuring data quality, and creating detailed reports.
• Ability to translate complex business requirements into user stories.
• Proficiency in creating comprehensive data reports and dashboards.
• Ability to start immediately and adapt quickly to new challenges.
• 2 days p/week onsite in Utrecht.
