VP of Quantum Software – Compiler, Algorithms, Qubit Shuttling, Qiskit, Cirq, LLVM, Dublin, Delft

Excellent opportunity to join a growing Quantum Computing company that creates silicon-based quantum computers designed for easy integration into standard data centres.
The business recently secured a large funding to expand and develop the business.

One of the most important roles is a VP of Quantum Software Engineering who’ll be responsible for driving the architecture and development of the software stack. You will lead a team of engineers and work closely with hardware, quantum, and algorithm development teams to develop a customer-focused, scalable software stack.

This role could be based in Dublin or Delft.

Tasks:

• Driving software architecture, compiler and development strategy
• Responsible for the development of compiler architecture, algorithms and compiler logic for qubit shuttling
• Development, optimization, and scaling of quantum software ecosystem
• Work closely with Quantum Architecture and the Silicon/Cryo-CMOS teams

Experience:

• Excellent understanding of quantum computing, software, hardware and algorithms
• Strong knowledge of quantum software development tools, including Qiskit, Cirq
• Ideally candidates will have knowledge of LLVM and other compilation framework
• Previous leadership experience in the quantum software or hardware industry
• Any experience working in a quantum start-up environment would help

This is an opportunity for someone to grow a team up to around 30 people.
