A leading engineering consultancy specializing in dynamic and digitalized solutions for infrastructure, buildings, hydropower, dams, and environmental safety is seeking a Senior Embankment Team Leader. With a global presence and a rich history of delivering complex projects, the company is looking for a skilled professional to spearhead their international embankment engineering team.

Job Description

• Overseeing the design process for various embankment types, from conceptualization to construction.
• Conducting comprehensive dam safety assessments.
• Building and leading a team of engineers dedicated to embankment design and safety, providing mentorship and guidance.
• Collaborating with senior experts on specific project components.
• Preparing tender documentation for embankment projects.
• Developing business proposals for engineering services.
• Undertaking short-term assignments at project sites.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Civil Engineering.
• Substantial experience (minimum 10-15 years) in international project delivery.
• Specialized knowledge in geotechnical engineering.
• Proven expertise in the conception, design, and construction oversight of embankment dams.
• In-depth familiarity with international dam design standards and guidelines (e.g., USBR, USACE, FERC).
• Experience in EPC design is advantageous.
• Involvement in ICOLD embankment working groups is highly regarded.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Proficiency in French, Italian, or German is beneficial.
• Willingness to travel for short-term assignments.
