Our client is a specialized agency representing international Shiprepair Yards and Makers in the German market. Their mission is to bridge the gap between their clients’ needs and the services offered by their principals.
They pride themselves on providing comprehensive solutions for German Shipowners and Shipmanagement companies, ranging from minor port repairs and diving operations to major drydocking’s and conversions.
Our client offers two distinct career profiles within the Sales / Project Manager role:
Commercially Focused Vacancy
This role emphasizes strong commercial acumen and client relationship management skills. Key responsibilities include:
- Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities within the German shipping market
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with German Shipowners and Shipmanagement companies
- Overseeing the entire sales process, from initial contact to contract negotiation and project execution
Technically Focused Vacancy
This role requires a deep understanding of technical aspects of ship repair and conversion projects. Key responsibilities include:
- Providing technical support to clients and colleagues
- Liaising with shipyards and suppliers to ensure project requirements are met
- Monitoring project progress and addressing any technical challenges

Your profile:
- Fluency in English: Essential for effective communication with international clients and principals. German is a preference but not a must.
- Shipping Background: A strong understanding of the shipping industry, including ship operations and maintenance.
- Commercial Acumen: Proven ability to negotiate contracts and close deals (for commercially focused profile).
- Technical Knowledge: A deep understanding of ship repair and conversion processes (for technically focused profile).
- Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and colleagues.
- Proactive Approach: A self-motivated and results-oriented mindset.
- Flexibility and Adaptability: Willingness to travel within Germany and internationally to meet with clients and visit shipyards.
- Experience in Asian Markets: Experience in Asian markets, particularly in the shipping industry, would be a significant advantage.
