Darwin Recruitment are currently hiring for a Program & Industrialization Manager for a space company in the Netherlands who are a high-tech European developer and manufacturer of satellite control sub-systems and components, with over 40 years of experience in the aerospace industry. The company specializes in space propulsion and mobility, producing a wide range of products including attitude and orbit control systems (AOCS), avionics, thermal components, pressure transducers, flow meters, cold gas systems, sun sensors, and reaction wheels.
The role will focus on the management and industrialization of a novel propulsion system(s) developed by this company. The role yields the transfer from the current Product Leadership position towards Operation Excellence by means of upscaling from a ‘few to 100’s’ of systems per year. The role interacts in close cooperation with the various teams/departments (engineering, operations, purchasing, production, quality). The role could evolve to a senior Leadership position for a candidate with the passion and ambition to take more responsibilities within the company.
Your Responsibilities
* Manages Customer requirements in line with the contractual agreements in terms of Compliance, Risk, Schedule, Quality and Cost (Budget).
* Responsible, for the total duration of one or multiple projects, for planning, contact with the Customer, definition of the program, quality and profitability in lieu of the oToQoC philosophy.
* Drive the industrialization of the product line and implement an operational excellence mindset and vision.
* Pro-actively engaged to continuously improve the overall project performance in line with the KPI’s.
* Responsible for preparing proposals, involving core team members for specific expertise areas or volumes.
* Responsible in terms of monthly status reporting during the Project Status Review (PSR).
* Setup a competent and effective organization by selecting, training, appraising, developing and motivating the product team.
* Up to date in relation to competitor product development & performance: understands market requirements for current & future products and delivers roadmap input.
* Implement an operational excellence way of working.
Your Profile
* Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Project Management role in space industry.
* Experience in management of multiple projects simultaneously.
* Skilled in operational excellence implementation.
* Experience in introduction and ramp-up of new products in production.
* Experience in scaling businesses, optimizing processes, streamlining resources, and ensuring quality.
* Experience in financial management and reporting, including familiarity with ERP and planning software.
* Strong communication skills, ability to reflect and knows how to motivate others.
* Proficiency in (technical) English (C2).
* Master or bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering or mechanical engineering.
* Driver’s license and willingness to travel.
