QHSE Advisor
Position Summary:
We are currently seeking a motivated QHSE Advisor for our Schiedam office. The ideal candidate will possess a solid background in Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) practices and be eager to develop their career within an international engineering environment. This role requires a proactive individual with a keen attention to detail, ready to support safety and quality compliance efforts in the Schiedam location.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide guidance and execute tasks related to achieving and maintaining multi-site certifications.
- Collaborate closely with headquarters and local management to ensure compliance with quality and environmental standards.
- Offer health and safety support to enhance employee well-being, working alongside local prevention teams.
- Schedule and lead weekly meetings with internal prevention teams in the Netherlands to discuss QHSE (Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment) topics.
- Oversee the administration and follow-up of incidents, toolbox meetings, inspections, onboarding processes, budget tracking, and 5S inspections to ensure consistent and effective practices.
- Implement and monitor QHSE standards, processes, and initiatives to meet organisational objectives.
- Work cross-functionally to promote a culture of safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.
- Perform audits, generate detailed reports, and recommend corrective actions to strengthen safety protocols.
- Participate in ongoing training and development to stay updated on industry standards and best practices.
- Conduct risk assessments, advise on preventive measures, and implement both global and annual prevention plans.
- Analyse workplace incidents and accidents to recommend improvements and prevent recurrence.
Requirements:
- Residency: Must reside in the Schiedam area or commutable distance
- License: Valid EU passport and a Category B driver’s license with access to own transportation
- Education: QHSE-focused educational background required
- Languages: Fluent in Business English; native Dutch speaker required
- Experience: Open to recent graduates, young professionals, and early-career starters looking to develop in their first QHSE role
