Responsibilities:

  • Fulfil dual role as Team Leader/(Senior) Civil Project Leader within the Urban Design (UD) advisory group in Amsterdam.
  • Independently manage multidisciplinary civil projects while overseeing the UD team.
  • Act as the primary point of contact with clients, demonstrating strong communication skills and professional expertise.
  • Drive business development efforts and cultivate long-term client relationships as a trusted advisor.
  • Manage internal project teams, overseeing aspects such as planning, budget, and risk management.
  • Integrate sustainability into project designs and processes using technical expertise.
  • Advise clients on sustainable practices from project initiation to design phases.
  • Identify market opportunities and translate them into new projects that promote sustainability.
  • Engage in projects spanning public and private sectors, focusing on economic efficiency, sustainability, climate adaptation, and digital innovation.
  • Contribute to initiatives such as urban redevelopment, road reconstructions, and industrial site expansions.

Requirements:

  • HBO level education in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a design/project leader, preferably with line management experience.
  • Strong command of Dutch and English languages, both spoken and written.
  • Familiarity with various contract forms used in civil infrastructure projects.
  • Proven ability to connect stakeholders, initiate business opportunities, and drive new initiatives.
  • Customer-oriented, proactive, and solution-oriented with a practical mindset.
  • Willingness to occasionally travel and work at different locations/offices within the Netherlands.
